CO2 sensor seems to have lost accuracy

The AirVisual Pro air quality monitor's NDIR CO2 sensor may lose some accuracy after a shock, such as from a drop or hit.

Fortunately, the sensor's auto-recalibration components allow the CO2 sensor to re-gain full accuracy after 2-3 weeks. In the meantime, you are likely to experience excessively high CO2 readings before it goes back down. Please be patient during this process.

The recalibration process might also occur during the first two weeks of the Pro's first use.

The CO2 sensor self-calibrates with reference to the typical fresh air value of 400ppm as a baseline. This is the expected CO2 level of outdoor air, and indoor environments will also typically drop to this level frequently over time.

If you have any questions regarding your sensor and its readings, please do not hesitate to contact AirVisual support.
