The AirVisual Node/Pro remembers your WiFi networks so if you find that your Node/Pro is frequently disconnecting, it is likely a problem of using a Wi-Fi repeater or 5GHz connection:
1) Wi-Fi repeater - Using a Wi-Fi repeater for growing the strength of your Wi-Fi across a large distance will cause trouble for your Node/Pro because unlike a computer, the Node/Pro is detecting Wi-Fi by SSID name, and not a Mac Address. As a result, the Node/Pro may be getting lost, switching around between identically named Wi-Fi and repeater based on signal strength.
If you believe this to be the problem, we recommend moving the Node/Pro farther away from the repeater so that there is only one network with a strong signal. This might involve some trial and error. Alternatively, a better option is to change the SSID name of the repeater.
2) 5GHz connection - Two networks with the same name, one with a 5 GHz connection and one with a 2.4 GHz connection, will cause the same problem. In this case, disable or change the SSID name of the 5 GHz - so that your Node/Pro just connects to the 2.4 GHz. Remember that the Node/Pro supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz.
3) Wi-Fi networks requiring a username & password - the AirVisual Node/Pro cannot connect to Wi-Fi networks requiring web authentication. See how to overcome captive portal issues here.
