Traps ultrafine particles and biological contaminants

Ultrafine particles are smaller than 0.1 microns, make up about 90% of all airborne particles, and have been linked to heart attacks, strokes, asthma, respiratory diseases, and even cancer. IQAir’s HyperHEPA filtration in the GC MultiGas filters 95% of all particles down to 0.003 microns – as small as the smallest virus. Delivers the purest air

HyperHEPA particle filtration: GC MultiGas air purifier features a powerful HyperHEPA pre-filter that removes particles of all sizes, including ultrafine particles, viruses, and bacteria.
Cartridge-based activated carbon adsorption: Highest-grade activated carbon removes volatile organic compounds (VOCs) responsible for odors.
Cartridge-based chemisorption: Destroys harmful chemicals, such as formaldehyde, by an oxidation process inside a chemically active alumina pellet.
Post-filter sleeve: Wraps each gas cartridge to further filter the air and prevent release of media dust.

The GC MultiGas packs the chemical removal power of more than 100 gas masks, featuring 12 lbs. (5.4 kg.) of premium activated carbon from high-quality bituminous coal, which provides the maximum number of micropores.

Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS)

Characterized by elevated sensitivities to household chemicals, MCS symptoms can include eye irritation, wheezing, and coughing. The GC MultiGas is rated #1 for those with MCS. IQAir systems don’t use any technologies that add MCS triggers like ozone or chemicals into the air and are constructed of computer-grade ABS plastics that do not “off-gas.”

The GC MultiGas features the most powerful fan ever used in a residential room air purifier for even better air cleaning results. The new three-dimensionally optimized design now uses state-of-the-art aerodynamics to convert energy into more air but only needs as much power as a conventional light bulb. As a result, it costs only pennies per day to run the most advanced and effective air purifier in the world.

Ultra-quiet performance

The GC MultiGas has an average of 32% less sound across all fan speeds thanks to IQAir’s "fan-in-center" design that places the fan motor between sound-attenuating filters. The double-walled housing effectively reduces sound transmission. Rubber suspension pads systematically isolate motor vibration from the air cleaner housing, and the EvenFlow Diffuser deflects sounds back into the system while returning an even flow of air to your room.

3D UltraSeal
